Disclaimers
  1. The processes for woodworking involves the use of tools, machinery and materials which could cause injury or be a health hazard unless proper precautions are taken. This includes the wearing of appropriate protective equipment. Be sure to read and follow all instructions from the manufacturer, and and utilize proper safety equipment.

  2. The goal of sharpening is to produce sharp tools. And whilst sharp tools are less prone to causing injury, all tools can injure you if mishandled. Safety measures should be followed to protect yourself and those in your shop.

  3. Never consume alcohol or take anything which could impair your judgement before sharpening or using tools. If someone has to hold your beer, you should not be in the shop.

  4. Do not try to sharpen tools if your grandchildren are around. You will become distracted and end up in the emergency room getting stiches (well, at least I did).
