Plain 3 Rosette

The Plain 3 rosette is a 3-sided polygon rosette. Some turners call this a "puffy" rosette because of the shape of the rosette, but at the target diameter on the object, it will yield a polygon with straight sides.

Pattern Straight Line
Pattern Repeated 3 times Pattern at the target Diameter

2”

At this diameter on the object being cut, the cuts will produce a 3-sided polygon.

  • A smaller diameter on the object results in surfaces which are concave between the apexes.

  • A larger diameter on the object results in surfaces which are convex between the apexes.

  • An amplitude adjuster can be used to modify these effects.
Phasing Holes 1/8 & 1/30 lobe There are two sets of phasing holes in this rosette.
